USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Organic Filing Requirements – Mandatory March 19, 2024
CBP announces that USDA AMS National Organic Program's Strengthening Organic Enforcement rule becomes mandatory on March 19, 2024, requiring electronic NOP Import Certificates for organic agricultural product shipments filed via ACE. Importers and exporters/final handlers must be certified, with certificates issued by accredited certifying agents through USDA's Organic Integrity Database.

CBP reported that a maintenance issue caused some ABI ISF filings to fail to generate a response and advised filers who submitted between 0530 and 0600 without processing confirmation to resubmit. Filers with continued issues were told to contact their assigned Client Representative.
