Processing Payments for Entry Summary Cancellations
CBP issued interim guidance allowing ports, Centers, and the San Juan Field Office to cancel an original entry summary and remove it from a daily or periodic statement while it remains in CBP control, provided there is a valid bond and the replacement entry summary is scheduled for payment, eliminating the need for duty payment on both entries. It also clarifies that if duty was already paid on the cancelled original entry, brokers should request an administrative refund via a cancellation request with supporting documentation.
